New Layout and Profile Layout, because I was sick of the old ones. It's a really lovely piece of art by jemppu@lj of Gotham City. She's done these gorgeous pieces on Gotham City and Children of Gotham (no one in particular, just kids in the streets) which are just stunning.

The city art here is really impressive, with inked and the main pillar. It's these touches of realism that just make me love this kind of art. Simple, beautiful but realistic.

Never has my icon been more appropriate.

- Often, we underestimate how social groups control us. If other people say something is alright, most of the time, we will accept that it is the right thing to do.

- Even the good guys (such as they are) use interrogation and torture at times. They may find themselves threatening anothers loved ones or inflicting some fairly nasty injuries.

- Most people don't start off as the type of person who can torture another. It is a slow process and while some people are more predisposed to it, it is something most people are capable of. Often, people who are otherwise mentally healthy can administer horrible things if they are told to be an authority. It doesn't have to be an authority they know, as long as it is an authority they know of (like the person telling them is a doctor or an officer of the law) and 2/3 of people will then respond without hesitation.

- You're not likely, even in an organisation like the Death Eaters, to see 'Torturers Wanted - apply within'. Most charismatic leaders such as Voldemort have learned to put a spin on things. While they may not want to recruit a torturer, they might recruit a "Communications Specialist". This would involve something upholding family values, learning as part of a team and it's on the job experience so you don't really need a previous education. That doesn't sound half as threatening, but this is how recruitment was often done by terrorist cells in the 80's and I believe it's still relevent today.

- Recruitment
All cells target the young as they have shifting morals and are ideologically vulnerable. They look for those who can fit into a profile: those who feel they don't belong, those with something to prove, those with no outlet, those with passion that can be exploited and those who want to give their all for the ideologies. Of course, it helps if they believe in the cause or if they have an ability to offer it but every team needs its canon fodder.

- Belief
Believing you are doing the right thing often stems from those around you believing it or those you respect doing it. If you are told by authority something is right, you are likely to believe it. The more you believe it, the more you are willing to bend your morals for it. You can influence a persons morals with more ease when you catch them young. Raising loyal members to the cause is important to any organisation because it secures its future.

lipsofpoison I wondered if perhaps Dick is the most stable for that very reason
uneasylies : I think so. But even he isn't completely stable, just more so than the others.
lipsofpoison Very true. I'm also wondering if it's why Tim has a bit of a flip out about Jason/Damian. Not just because of jealousy, but Bruce reflects his Robins and becomes more violent with them and it's something he's been afraid to see in himself but is confronting now in Red Robin
uneasylies : Yeah, I can really see that.
uneasylies : It's the violence he's rebelling against. Sort of.
lipsofpoison He became Robin to stop Bruce from being so violent so when Jason attempts to make Bruce more violent and Dick takes a Robin that may make him reflect more violently, you can understand the balking fear.

uneasylies : He didn't get into it for the violence, but he's being forced to deal with it anyway, and in forms he was trying to stop.
lipsofpoison So he can't do it as Tim Drake or as Robin so he needs a new identity that can be violent so he can cope by compartmentalising

uneasylies : In the idea that the plan was to kill Terry's parents in the same way as Bruce's to ensure another Batman.
lipsofpoison You have Jason who had a very higgledy piggedy childhood with no structure and now as an adult he has no stability. He also wanted to get into a lot of fights and was likely to do damage himself and now older, he doesn't see what's wrong with him doing it even though he can see what's wrong with others doing it. It could be that Bruce vs. his parents change that has caused a weird imbalance there.

uneasylies : Yeah!
lipsofpoison Tim had never experience violence but he did witness it a lot, so as he got older, he has always been the type to be on the outside looking in. Now he has trouble being in the moment and confronting something as emotional because he's still in that "outside looking in" frame of mind and now he's getting in deeper, so he's rationalising yet again and trying to split it up so he's never actually the one involved. He's just looking in.
uneasylies : I think he uses that to shift blame, emotionally. In the same way serial killers will tell the police to 'save her' so that it's their fault when they don't, not his fault for killing her.
uneasylies : Not that he's about to start killing people, but he seems to have that same mentality. 'I'm here to do this, and if that happens it's not my fault.'
lipsofpoison I think it works the other way at the moment.

uneasylies : Although this is his Red Robin way of thinking, not his Robin way of thinking.
lipsofpoison His Red Robin way of thinking is dangerously close to that territory and it's a very Jason mental state, because it's more like a soldier than a vigilante.
uneasylies : Being very narrow minded about finding Bruce, so goign through the first few issues not actively caring that he might be helping an enemy. As long as he reaches his own goal.
uneasylies : It's only changed in the last issue with 'I WILL BRING THEM DOWN!!!!! :D'
lipsofpoison Exactly. He's still on that "not involved" thing and the "obsessive" thing.
lipsofpoison You could argue that he's doing that as a rationalisation for using their resources
uneasylies : Yeah, I think it is.
[lipsofpoison Steph has another one of contrasts. She's had no stability so she's jumped from one thing to another her whole life before now she's decided "Who am I? I'm Batgirl." because she's taking the identity for herself and being her own person so she doesn't have to keep asking permission or disobeying rules. She's just who she is.
lipsofpoison I think that's why I'm really enjoying this and why I whooped with Babs when she was like "Yeah, that's a Batgirl"
uneasylies : Yeah. And i think she's also someone who isolates herself, even though she was always done in contrast to Tim who's worse.
uneasylies : She talks to people, and is friendly, but she hasn't had a decent connection to anyone since Tim.
lipsofpoison And now she has to rely on someone and someone has to rely on her, but she still has her independence.

I am a giant nerd, so when I read this, I went looking at OotP and while I don't think it's the complete 8 generations (the tree is huge, people), it still has more information than the original tree.

"We needed to visualise Sirius Black's family tree, so we told Jo. And she said 'I understand.' Fifteen minutes later a fax came through with the entire Black family tree which had the family crest, their motto, with eight generations of Blacks with all their names."

Notes:

All you can see of one name is the last three letters, which are "noa"
One name is refered to as Regulus but I can't confirm it because it's too blurry.
Some faces are skulls, which I have no idea of the significance. It may signify they were murdered, which is all I can think of as it seemingly has nothing to do with age of death.
Lighter names have been blasted off the tree
Seems that Cygnus (husband of Ella Max) had his son Sirius (brother of Phineas Nigellus) at only 16, so perhaps Pollux having Walburga had 13 was not all that shocking.
Dates for the new additions from the earlier tree look by my eye to be:

Cygnus (husband of Ella Max) was born in 1829.
Arcturus (brother of the above) was 1825 to 1893.
"Noa" Blishwick had a long life for a Black, with 1826-1926. Upon looking up names for mythology and constellations, I only found two used names in Vivinoa and Tinoa, though it could be something completely different.
Eduardus Limette seems to be 1787-1839, which makes me wonder if it was a post-death blasting off for him as Sirius has no dates.
Alexia Walkin and "Regulus" have no discernable dates, so this is based on their positions alone.

British School System

The British School System.
A Guide.

Disclaimer

Though schooling can change from district to district (even from school to school) but hopefully this will clear a few things up over the pond.

Preschool

Pretty much the equivilent of Kindergarten. You learn your alphabet, numbers, potato painting, etc.

Primary

Your basics of learning happens here. Learning to read, write, do basic math, etc.

Juniors

Your first structured environment, split into English, Mathematics and Science with other parts thrown in i.e. an english comprehension on Florence Nightingale or learning how magnets work in mathematics.

Secondary School

This is where things get more complex. You get your first taste of choice (usually a choice of language, which differs from school to school) and get a totally structured environment with a lot more lessons. When moving from Junior school to Secondary school, they often ask you to put down three friends you'd like to be in a class with so you know at least one person. Most schools also have uniforms, you can wear one ring on each hand and wear one necklace under your sweater. You don't wear sneakers. You stand up when a teacher comes into class and some sit them in alphabetical order. You attend Assembly most days, which is basically getting the whole school together and talking about Important Issues (like Fair Trade, Tolerance, etc) and occational singing.

Secondary is usually split from Year 7 (on the form, it's First Form) to Year Eleven (on the form, it's Fifth Form). Sixth Form is Year Twelve (Lower Sixth) to Year Thirteen (Upper Sixth). This is where you can repeat a year if you fail completely.

College is usually a course that is spread over five days. Four days are 9-4 learning and one day is at a work placement.

Sixth form is where you can take three to five subjects at A Level and you'll have free periods for the first time. The lessons you can take at Sixth Form can depend on your GCSE results (for instance, you can't take a German A Level unless you got a C minimum in your GCSE) but with others, you can start from scratch.

The availability of subjects differs greatly from school to school (for my experience, we almost didn't have a Law class because the minimum ten people sign up could not be reached) so there is a huge list here.

Apprenticeships

Instead of college or sixth form, you can also do an apprenticeship to earn money and build experience. You can find out more about that here.

University

With every A Level or equivilent you get, you get an amount of UCAS Points. You need a certain amount of points to get into a university, differing from university to university. For more information on UCAS, look here.

Reincarnate Radio!

It's come to attention that a few more people would love to get in on the radio business. Below is the information you'll need for anything and everything to do with Reincarnate Radio.

Reincarnate Radio is a station funded by the Agency for reincarnates and by reincarnates. It has hourly news bulletins, brings you competitions and shockingly, plays music. It's based on GMT time but the radio itself is available online for those who want to listen in other countries and you can email/text/call song requests to the presenter or even join in the chatting if you so please.

Lets make a start on what you need if you'd like your character to take over a radio slot:

Name: Your characters name, duh.
Show: What's the show about? Is it the Breakfast Show? Does it have a hilariously bad name like The Early Bird show? Is it a requests show? Does it play new music? Do musicians play live? Is it based on discussion? You decide!
Slot: When the character is on. On the table below, you'll see things called 'Slot' and that is where there is currently a slot open for a show. If need be, more can be added later but this seems like a good place to start.
Email: Emails will be [name]@reincarnateradio.co.uk and there will be a website up shortly (I'm having technical difficulties but there we are) for this to be listed.
Leaning: If your character is heavy on the discussion, what affiliation do they have? The Agency have a neutral policy so they have both points of view on the air right now.

Her and Babs are the headliners in Batgirl so I'm still betting money on the idea of Batgirl Duo as there's two uniforms so I'm so fucking happy, you guys have no idea. I wanted this for her. I wanted this validation and Dick is the perfect Batman for her: they're so much alike, in that she's Dick and Jason's lovechild and omg, today is so good. Thank you. Thank you, DC. Now don't fuck it up. I want to see Batgirls unite with Cass and Steph and Babs, as they're headliners on Batgirl but Steph in the suit? Fuck, yeah. I knew that was eggplant on the costume #4 I just knew it and I'm just....

Even if it's not a Batgirl Duo, the idea of Steph, Cass and Babs working together is made of win. BATGIRLS UNITE! I hope it turns out Cass gave her the costume and Cass has now her own identity and can become awesome in her own right again. BFF LOVE!!! God,yes. Thank you.

Cinema points
- The cinema was totally packed with real harcore fans. Some people were dressed up, nearly all the seats were filled and eveyone was talking about the books. It was a great atmosphere.
- RDJ looks to be really good in Sherlock Holmes. Not traditional but it looks really fabulous.
- They had a trailer on before it and it said "Solve the Mystery of the Half Blood Prince. I wanted to be like, "Yes, read the book!"
- Time Travelers Wife looks really mawkish, but Eric Bana is damned attractive.

- It was a very GoF style opening, but had gorgeous flashes to the newspapers doing pictures of Dumbledore and Harry. I really felt for him. It felt nicely post OotP.

- The opening was epic. Don't get me wrong, I love Kingsley and missed him but that scene in London with the Death Eaters on the brdige was beautifully done. The part they flit in and out of the clouds and invisibility shows the plausibility of it all.

- The Dark Mark made out of clouds = AWESOME

- Harry reading the Daily Prophet in a cafe, having been riding on trains because he's taken to riding the train.
Waitress: Who's Harry Potter?
Harry: Bit of a tosser, really.
And Dumbledore thought the waitress was attractive and apoligises for dragging Harry away.

- Dumbledore showing up in front of a sign for pink perfume with DIVINE MAGIC was a win.

- There's a great emphasis on Dumbledores hands. It's quite impressive.

- Side apparition is done very impressively. I felt a bit sick too!

- They did Slughorn turning from the arm chair! It was wicked. The way they did that entire sequence was very impressive, particularly Dumbledore waving his wand and setting the house back to normal with a "That was fun. Can I use the loo?" They also kept in knitting patterns, which is a big yay.

- Dumbledore: I suppose you're wondering why I've brought you here.
Harry: Actually, sir, after all these years, I just sort of go with it.

- The blood dripping on the Prophet (on Harry's picture) and then the blood from the ceiling dripping was brilliantly echoed.

- Dumbledore tasting the blood. Dumbles = Benton Fraser and/or possibly the Doctor.

- The referencing of Sirius and Regulus was done word for word, from the book.

- The photograph of Lily, she's still looking too old but the story about her turning a petal of a Lily into a fish that disappeared the day she died.

- Slughorn wanting Merryweathers Office is a big fat win!

- The collecting people is both creepy and very appropriately done.

- Is it just me or has The Burrow gotten fancier? The thing with Ginny was hilarious, especially Molly's "Don't you think I'd know if Harry Potter was in my house?"

- Nice to see Crookshanks back again.

- It was nice that Arthur put his footdown about the kids going back.

- "Dumbledores not old...how old is he?"
"150, give or take."

- Bella and Cissy at Snapes house. Cissy looked ridiculous but sounded spot on. Bella was so perfect. I can't compliment Helena's performance enough. Her enjoyment, enthusiasm and childlike joy is everything I adore about Bella and it's perfect.

- I really liked the actresses portrayal of Narcissa, even if she looked ridiculous. And what was with the meaningful looks at Snape? Are we supposed to ship them? ~~Cause I kind of do now~~.

- The fact they kiss kind of surprised me. I didn't expect the Blacks to be that affectionate but it's damn creepy, so I'm down with that. Bella is wonderfully manic with it so it works.

- Hermione is turned on by the smell of toothpaste. WIN.

- Ginny has gotten SO. TALL.

- Tonks/Remus. Loved it. They're like an old married couple, with her explaining why he's being such a prissy bitch tonight and taking charge. I wonder if it'll be their wedding we see instead of Bill/Fleur. The "sweetheart" is awesome.

- The heart imagery in this film was actually very well done.

- Harry/Ginny is actually quite nice. I was pleasantly surprised.

- There just isn't enough words for me to say how much In loved HBC in this. Her joy. Her squeals of 'I KILLED SIRIUS BLACK' had me laughing so hard. Her dismissals with Snape were wonderfully manic. That last bit in the Great Hall was just an epic win.

- Ginny with Greyback. He was criminally underused but the whole creepiness factor there was so awesome. So was Remus and Tonks running out.

- The vanishing cabinet was done really, really well.

- There is not enough compliments in the world for Tom Felton. I didn't actually like Draco in the books. I just couldn't visualise the regret, but the way he played it, with the beautiful silences and his running to the bathroom and the end with Dumbledore. Magnificent.

- Arthur being all Remus knowledgable is kind of sweet.

- Bella hissing. That's strange, creepy and oddly wonderful.

- The house going up in flames may not have been canon but I loved it. It was so spot on for what happened.

- "These girls, they're going to kill me." Ilu Ron.

- Won Won! Lavendar was just kind of fantastic. Absolutely dressed and sounding wonderful.

- The Ginny/Harry, Hermion/Ron friendship thingy was done well with the birds, even if it felt slightly out of place.

- DRAGON. BALLS.

- Snapes face when Cormac throws up. It's kind of amazing.

- Oh, Slughorn. I never expected to feel badly for him but JB is a perfect actor and the whole thing with Lily and the fish broke my effing heart.

- Aragog being kept was actually really nice.

- Luna. Just...Luna. Her relationship with Harry is still lovely. The fact she sleepwalks. Her lion costume.

- The split lighting on Draco was gorgeous.

- The bitten apple was downright creeptastic.

- Draco gatecrashing was kind of cringeworthy but I actually really felt for the guy. Damn you, TF.

- I really don't like that Draco didn't try to use the cruciatus. It feels like Harry using an unknown spell wasn't validated.

- Sectumsempra was very impressive. As was Katie Bell. Man, was that ever creepy. Hagrid coming along was really cool.

- Lav-Lav's drawing of the heart and Ron then talking about kissing. Are we supposed to not slash those two? My god, it's too easy! Harry trying to look distracted was really well done. And the lips CHAPPED.

- Waiter!Neville. Don't worry, you'll be bamf next year!

- Dumbledore is such a shipper AND a cockblock. Ron is a cockblock with PIE.

- Harry is learning emotional manipulation with Slughorn. Sirius would be so proud.

- I loved the clothes in this. Bella's were gorgeous, the purists were exactly what I imagined, Luna's HEADBAND, the gryffindor jumpers, the lions on the cloaks.

- Hermione and Harry have such a great friendship. I think I love that more than the shipping.

- I really liked the necklace. It was really well designed.

- "Why is it always you three?"
"I've been asking myself that for six years." Ron and McG for epic win.

- The LOOK Snape and McG share is kind of epic win.

- "She's got nice skin." You two are such boys.

- Cormac and his icecream. I LOLed.

- The thing of knowing Ginny had been crying was kind of epic.

- EMERGENCY CHOIR PRACTICE.

- Dean/Ginny snogging thing. RG did such a great job with Ron about this stuff. "That happens to be my sister!" and Hermiones later, "Just don't snog her in front of him."

- "All hands on deck, Granger!" I do like that.

- Cormac was epicly smarmy and well acted. I was impressed that I disliked him that much.

- I'm kind of going for the femslash with Ginny/Hermione. They were both fabulous in this.

- LOL at Ginny taking Harry's book.

- He sleeps with the book. And the Snarries just went WILD.

- Dumbledore asking about Harry/Hermione cracked me up. Especially with his whole young love thing later and Snapes disgusted look.

- "SHUT IT!" ilu Ginny.

- "Do you want me to let him collect me?" Damn creepy but very well acted.

- The kids who portrayed Tim Riddle were stunning. The acting in this film was just unsurpassed on all quarters.

- Borgin and Burkes was in 1863? For some reason, I thought it would be older.

- The bit of him collapsing was actually pretty scary and funny at the same time.

- Harry has such an emo after Draco, but I'm glad he shares it. It just cements them.

- Ginny in the room of requirement, oddly sexy. I was very impressed.

- "Did you and Ginny do it then?" Oh this movie is so quotable.

- Harry. STONED. Oh my god, I just died laughing. I could quote the whole scene, it's so brilliantly done. His clapping.

- Fang mourning Aragog is really rather sweet.

Types of Espionage
A spy is a person employed to obtain such secrets. Within the intelligence community, asset is a more common usage. A case officer, who may have diplomatic status (i.e., official cover or non-official cover) supports and directs the human collector. Cutouts are couriers who do not know the agent or case officer, but transfer messages. In larger networks, the organization can be complex, with many methods to avoid detection, including clandestine cell systems. Often the players have never met and are sometimes unaware that they are participating.

- A dead drop or dead letter box, is a location used to secretly pass items between two people, without requiring them to meet. Spies have been known to use dead drops, using various techniques to hide items (such as money, secrets or instructions) and to signal that the drop has been made. The system involves using signals and locations which have been agreed in advance. These signals and locations must be common everyday things to which most people would not give a second glance.

- Steganography is the art and science of writing hidden messages in such a way that no one apart from the sender and intended recipient even realizes there is a hidden message.

- Official cover is a term used in espionage to refer to operatives who assume positions in organizations with diplomatic ties to the government for which they work.

- Interrogation is not necessarily to force a confession, but rather to develop sufficient rapport as to prompt the source to disclose valuable information. Interrogations may involve torture, which is judged to be ineffective at producing accurate information but is effective in getting false confessions which might be useful for political reasons for the officer and organization in question by raising the number of successful investigations.

- Cryptography is the practice and study of hiding information.

- Industrial espionage describes activities such as theft of trade secrets, bribery, blackmail, and technological surveillance.

- Concealment devices or diversion safes are used to hide things for the purpose of secrecy or security. Books, pens, candles, umbrella's cans, jars, coins, paintings, frames, diversion safe (A device whereby a safe-looking safe is left open but has a hidden compartment), Electrical outlet (A fake electrical outlet, which can be pulled out from the wall and which contains a hidden compartment for storage) or paintings are some of the examples.

- Black Ops/Black Operations are a division that is funded by the government's black budget. Operations that are highly classified, even hidden from congressional oversight. Black Ops missions often fall into the deniability category, where no government will claim responsibility for the action, or where responsibility is shifted to another actor in the case of a "false flag" operation. The methods used in black operations are also used in unconventional warfare and includes actions like assassinations, espionage & sabotages.

- False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to appear like they are being carried out by other entities.

- Non-official cover (NOC) is a term used in espionage (particularly by national intelligence services) for agents or operatives who assume covert roles in organizations without ties to the government for which they work.

- Black Bag Operations (or "black bag jobs") are covert or clandestine surreptitious entries into structures to obtain information for Human Intelligence operations. This usually entails breaking and entering into denied areas. Some of the tactics, techniques and procedures associated with Black Bag Operations are: lock picking, safe cracking, key impressions, fingerprinting, photography, electronic surveillance (including audio and video surveillance), mail manipulation (flaps and seals), forgery and a host of other related skills.

- Traditionally, a provocateur is a person employed by an enforcement body to act undercover and entice or provoke another person to commit an illegal act. More generally, the term may refer to a person or group who provokes another to perform a wrong or rash action, the deliberate purpose being to incite wider conflict or harm.

- A canary trap is a method for exposing an information leak, that involves giving different versions of sensitive information to each of a group of suspects and seeing which version gets leaked.

- Compartmentalisation of information means to limit access to information to persons who directly need to know certain such information in order to perform certain tasks. This means certain things are only known by some people so that they do not have an emotional reaction, rather than a professional one.

- A cutout is a mutually trusted intermediary or channel of communication which facilitates the exchange of information between agents. See dead drop.

- Disinformation is the deliberate dissemination of false information. It may include the distribution of forged documents, manuscripts, and photographs, or propagation of malicious rumors and fabricated intelligence.

- The Double Cross System or XX System is the deception operation of using enemy agents to broadcast mainly disinformation to their controllers.

- Forgery is the process of making, adapting, or imitating objects or documents (see false document), with the intent to deceive.

- A front organization is any entity set up by and controlled by another organization, such as intelligence agencies, criminal organizations, banned organizations, religious or political groups, advocacy groups, or corporations.

- Communication interception is the act of retrieving another person's mail for the purpose of ensuring that the communication is not delivered to the recipient, or to spy on them.

- "The Purloined Letter Approach" is the general name of a plan to hide something in plain view. False flag, where the action is flaunted and meant to be seen, but to appear as if done by another party; while the Purloined Letter Approach merely unfocuses the observer's attention, and does not provide another focus for the observer.

- The Big Lie, where the intent is to make the observer look and listen to the main lie rather than the little ones.

- A Parthian shot, where the observer is distracted with an even larger event, and thereby doesn't see the object to the hidden - at least momentarily.

- A walk-in agent is an individual who voluntarily offers to conduct espionage. Specifically, a "walk-in" is an agent or a mole of a government who literally walks into an embassy or intelligence agency without prior contact or recruitment.

- A clandestine cell structure is a method for organizing a group in such a way that it can more effectively resist penetration by an opposing organization. The Death Eater cells are Black Ops and hidden around their terriories. A covert cell structure is tantamount to a contradiction in terms, because the point of the cell structure is that its details are completely hidden from the opposition.

- A sleeper agent is someone who is programmed via brainwashing, torture and other various methods to carry out an act then promptly forget about it. The sleeper is put back into normal society wish faked memories of the time they were at the hospital and no idea they have been programmed. The sleeper agent then resumes normal life until they are triggered by a series of words (hence the game name) and then, sometimes in a trance like state and with complete drive, carry out the act they have been programmed to and then clean up after themselves. They then forget about the action. Occationally, things will go wrong and little things will come into the persons memory but are often dismissed.

- Code terms are used to identify people who don't know eachother or to describe a situation.

For instance, one person could sit next to another and ask them what the weather is like and the specific person would say something specific, like "it is better here than it is in Amsterdam."

Or in the latter case, when writing to someone, you could say "don't forget to feed the fish" as a code for saying you were being watched.

- Signs are left as messages to different people as a way of showing them something i.e. a red mark on a lampost implies there is enemy surveillance from here on in.

- Often torture can be used in interrogation, particularly by the Black Ops cells.

I don't do stuff from scratch often but I wanted to do a TDK!style Jokerz guy, but I can't decide on the lighting? Image has blood, possibly not safe for work. It's not done yet, but I could use the opinion, considering I've changed my mind three times in the last hour. Also not sure about the blood on the hand :/
